Overview
Herz-Rose Park has seen many years of creative thought by a Vectren (now CenterPoint Energy) led consortium, and Art Spaces’ multi-year focus on arts integration. These initiatives have generated momentum for restoring access to and attraction of the park. Park facility and circulation improvements are important to this unique community and cultural revitalization process. LSDG led the client team through a collaborative conceptual design process to achieve unity between the creative potential and needed utilitarian features of the site. Public engagement events and client strategy sessions guide the design team toward key project goals. The result will be a transformative neighborhood park plan tailored specifically to the needs of the immediate Ryves Neighborhood and local Terre Haute community.
