Overview
The Fairbanks Park Master Plan aims to transform the riverfront park into a regional riverfront destination. Located along the Wabash River in Terre Haute, IN, the park was originally designed by renowned landscape architect, George Kessler, and after nearly 100 years of use, the master plan will outline a new era of water's edge recreation. A primary goal of the client was to identify and prioritize the renovation of existing amenities. The reorganization of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure through park and redefining the hierarchy of vehicular circulation and safety at intersections was also critical to ensuring the plan’s long-term success through phased implementation. Land Stewards Design Group is currently leading the client and stakeholders through prioritizing phases and funding to implement the design.
